I had much better review all typed up but was foiled by The Great PsycleStore Crash of 2010...
These bars rock. I have glass-like old man thumbs that are weak but they love these bars. 2 of my 3 current bikes run these bars and the third runs another brand of similar bar--but the FU's are 27% cooler than any other brand in existence.
Their badd-azz-ness is a direct result of their ability to excel in massively aggressive and gnarly descents, the longest sufferfest climbs you can find, and the tightest and twistiest singletrack you can sneak through. They even rock for the asphalt commute with a loaded trailer to pick up your kid from daycare.
Then, as others said, when you go back to "normal" bars you realize how crappy they are and you buy another set of the FU's!

I bought the FUBar because it went on sale and had free shipping. Expecting something that would revolutionize my experience on a bike, I slapped them on my KM and promptly spent a week unimpressed.
I put my old flat bars back on and realized that flat bars, even with a wee bit of sweet, are terribly uncomfortable and really wear you out and don't climb quite as the FUBar, especially when seated.
One trick- angle the handlebars a little down.
