Introducing the NEW FU2 BAR
COMPLETELY NEW AND JUST SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT THEN THE FU BAR.

Riding the coat tails of the ever popular FU BAR the FU2 BAR is a very close relative and copy. At one time they shared a large hunk of cardboard together in an attempt to design the most perfectest bar of all time. The operation failed but did spawn this yummy bit and some wicked headaches.

Big sweep bars can mean big setbacks, most shorten the top tube and can create knee to bar contact issues for tall riders. The FU2 takes care of this by widening the center by 64mm and reducing the grip area by 60mm. In effect you have a similar width bar (600mm FU2 and 635mm FU) with similar sweep (37deg FU2 and 33deg FU). The main difference being a more traditional top tube measurement. The FU2 brings the grip position a full 30mm forward compared to the FU.

The Skinny:
Better hand position for climbs.
Narrower width (than straight) climbing bars, normally found on SS's.
No bar-ended tree catchers.
Reversible, for use as riser -or- unriser on 29er.

'cross will never be the same

I got this bar for a singlespeed Kona that I was racing short-track and 'cross on. It's the perfect handlebar. It's so perfect that when I upgrade my frame this bar is getting swapped over. Brilliant and comfortable.

I have an earlier review lauding the bar's comfort on the commute, but the FU2 is on my '89 Rockhopper too, and the bike is my favorite ride, partly because the bar makes it uber-comfortable, provides great leverage and great control on the downhill.

So, these bars were, like, totally rad. I mean it, man. I've been commuting for a long while, but never as comfortably. And they look ace, to boot. I used some cork tape to match the red/chrome soma rush....

I originally ordered a Fu 2 bar, but when the bar got here, it was a Fu in a Fu 2 package. I guess Peter or his factory full of flying monkeys knew what I really needed, because this bar is nice, wide, sweepy, goodness. The only way it could be better is if it was made of chocolate with a side of awesome sauce.
